Local Race at Ocala Gran Prix to Use Same Track Layout as FWT and SKUSA Winter Series

A perfect testing opportunity for teams and drivers.

With the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series and the ROK Cup Promotions Florida Winter Tour (FWT) coming to Ocala Gran Prix in February, track officials have confirmed that the track layout will be the same for both. With a local event planned for February 3, the week before these two popular karting programs, Ocala Gran Prix will utilize the same direction and layout to provide ample testing time for both teams and drivers.

"We want to make it easier for competitors to come and test at our facility," explained OGP Vice President Troy Mitchell. "The Ocala Gran Prix facility is small yet challenging as every hundredth of a second counts. With two events back to back utilizing the same track layout, we felt it was only right to make that three races in a row."

With the Ocala Gran Prix Local Race scheduled for February 3, the facility will be open for practice the week leading up to the event, as well as Sunday, February 4.

"We invite all teams and drivers to come out and enjoy the OGP hospitality," explained Jorge Arellano, President of Ocala Gran Prix. "We will have a fully staffed track, part and fuel sales as well as snack bar services on sight. This is a great way to get some valuable track time at an affordable cost."

The Superkarts! USA Winter Series will take place February 8-11, while the ROK Cup Promotions Florida Winter Tour will be on track February 15-18, 2018. Please follow their social media pages or visit their respective websites for up-to-date series news and information.
