As the 2018 karting season nears the end, Speed Concepts Racing is still on the gas as they head to Las Vegas, Nevada. Taking part in next week's ROK Cup Promotions ROK the RIO event, the Florida based squad will make the cross country trek with a five driver lineup scattered amongst the Mini ROK and Junior ROK ranks.

Taking place at the RIO All-Suites Hotel and Casino over the October 31 to November 3 week, the elite level karting program has entered two drivers in the Junior ROK category while three talented competitors will do battle in Vortex Mini ROK.

“Our driver lineup has remained relatively unchanged for the year but we have added a new Mini ROK driver this weekend,” explained Mike Speed. “The cohesiveness that we have within our program is one of the best and it helps our drivers remain confident in their progression as well as for our team to work well as a complete program.”

In the ROK Junior class, multi-time 2018 race winner Luca Mars will be joined by Texan Luke Lange on the temporary circuit. Paul Bocuse and Noah Baker will return to the Speed Concepts Racing Vortex Mini ROK driver lineup while Canadian and newcomer Ayden Ingratta will also join the SCR program in Las Vegas.

“Luca and Luke have progressed nicely in our program in the Junior class,” explained Alex Speed, who assists in chassis setup, data and video analysis, and driver coaching. “Luca has won races and Luke had his best event at the SKUSA SummerNationals qualifying in the top-five. Noah and Paul continue to learn and always have speed in the Mini division. Both drivers finished in the top-ten at New Castle, including a pole position by Baker on Sunday. Ayden will join Noah and Paul in Mini ROK and provide a competitive trio that should be able to fight for the race win.”

Drivers will hit the track Wednesday, October 31st for official practice with qualifying and heat races on Thursday and Friday. Saturday will be the home for prefinals and finals before teams and drivers can celebrate Saturday evening.
