US Grand Nationals / US Open fast facts and registration

1.WHERE & WHEN

The official events take place from July 6th — 8th at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ.

Registration and engine raffle will take place on Wednesday July 4th, with optional pre-event practice on Thursday July 5th.

May 22, 2018 from 12:00 pm EDT

After June 15 12:00 pm EDT, a late fee of $250 will apply.

Registration closes on June 30th, 12:00 pm EDT or before if the cap of your class is reached.

3. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Who is eligible to race? And what license is required?

As this is the combined US Grand Nationals and US Open with international participation, the required licenses to enter are:

  1. US citizen drivers: None
    Canadian drivers: National license from ASN Canada-FIA.
    International drivers (others): National license from their ASN with a letter of permission
     

4. ENTRY FEE

What's included?

For all classes, the entry fee includes:

  • Rotax MAX supplied raffle engine and accessories pack
  • Race inscription fees
  • Slick racing tires (see class details)
  • Practice fees for Friday morning
  • 5 gallons of race fuel
  • 1 bottle of XPS Oil (1 US Quart — 946 ml)
  • Drivers and Mechanics passes

Fees, Tires and Entry Cap for each class:

Rotax 125 Micro/Mini MAX

  • Registration fee $999
  • Slick tires included and allowed: 1 set of MOJO D2
  • Entries limited to 34 drivers

Rotax 125 Junior MAX

  • Registration fee $1,350
  • Slick tires included and allowed: 2 sets of MOJO D2
  • Entries limited to 34 drivers

Rotax 125 Senior MAX & MAX Masters

  • Registration fee $1,375
  • Slick tires included and allowed: 2 sets of MOJO D5
  • Entries limited to 34 drivers for 125 Senior MAX and limited to 20 MAX Masters

Rotax 125 DD2 MAX & DD2 Masters

  • Registration fee $1,375
  • Slick tires included and allowed: 2 sets of MOJO D5
  • Entries limited to a total of 34 drivers for DD2/DD2 Masters combined
     

5. ROTAX MAX CHALLENGE GRAND FINALS TICKETS

How many Grand Finals tickets can be won?

We have 10 tickets to the Grand Finals up for grabs! See the event Supplementary regulation for all details.

6. TIMETABLE — Summary

Tuesday July 3rd, 2018
Move in only.

Wednesday July 4th, 2018
Move in with registration and engine raffle taking place, followed by Independence Day Celebrations with a BBQ and fireworks display at the track.

July 5th, 2018
Optional pre-event practice.

July 6-8, 2018
Event official days, including official practice, qualifying, races and awards ceremony.

7. REGULATIONS

All regulations for the event including the Supplementary Regulations can be found at www.gorotax.com . Event Supplementary Regulation will be posted on May 22nd.

8. SPARE PARTS AND TIRE SUPPLY

All Rotax spare parts and tires will be available to purchase on site.

9. TIRE ALLOCATION

Starting on the qualifying session, each driver is only allowed to use the official tires included in the registration fee for the entire event.

For practice: Starting on the 3rd practice on Thursday until the last official practice on Friday, a maximum of 2 sets of slick tires are allowed to be used. Practice tires will be electronically controlled.  Before this 3rd practice session on Thursday you are free to use any slick tire you wish.

Wet tires (optional purchase)

A maximum of 2 sets of wet tires per driver will be allowed per driver for the entire event, including practice. Wet tires will be controlled electronically.
