Elite Karting Group ready to open for business

Indiana based company set to carry multiple product lines.

In the karting industry, product support, prices and availability of brands change often, so you need to roll with punches and change to stay relevant. VemmeKart USA Owner, Andy Gernand is doing just that. He is set for a new venture within the karting world with renewed focus, energy, and product lines. Over the next few months he will be dissolving the VemmeKart USA name and collaborating with their newest dealer Elite Karting Group (EKG) offering variety to his current and future karting clients.

"It is a complete turnaround from the direction that we were headed," explained Gernand. "We were the sole importer for the VemmeKart product line, but had to make a change. As a business, we had to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of where we were, what we were doing, and if that was truly what we and the racers wanted. I would like to thank Vince Mandarino for the years of support for one of the best, and most underrated, karts on the market."

Remaining in the karting industry, Andy Gernand and his partner at Elite Karting Group have acquired all the remaining inventory of VemmeKart USA, as well as picked up additional product lines such as OTK and CRG. Elite Karting Group will focus on local and regional level karting and base the majority of their events throughout the Midwest, namely at New Castle Motorsports Park and Whiteland Raceway Park.

Gernand continued, "We have a good group of drivers and customers in Indiana and will continue to support them and now will be better equipped to help them. We have acquired a trackside garage at Whiteland and will be on site for all club races. We will compete at national level events at New Castle Motorsports Park and make the annual trip to Las Vegas in November for the ROK Cup USA - ROK the RIO and the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals. Our new product lines open doors for a more diverse customer base."

"Operating a race team on the local and regional level is what I want," added Gernand. "Karting was built to be a family sport, and I am spending a lot of time away from home whether at the races or late hours at the shop. This is a new opportunity for me to continue doing what I love, and still be able to sleep in my own bed at night. Also, my team and I will be able to learn and understand new product lines, while working with new people that never before had the chance to race all while growing our business and karting on the grassroots level."

Elite Karting Group will attend Kart Racers of America (KRA) events at New Castle Motorsports Park (NCMP) and Whiteland Raceway Park club events, and is planning to compete at the SKUSA SummerNationals, the United States Pro Kart Series Hoosier Grand Prix and the World Karting Association Manufacturers Cup events at NCMP. Please contact Elite Karting Group if you are interested in arrive and drive opportunities, tent and transport, driver coaching and/or data analysis.
