It's hard to imagine that we are approaching June, and that the ROK the RIO race in Las Vegas is just five months away. Several tickets are up for grabs thanks to the support of ROK Cup USA and our partners. The winners of our ROK Senior and Master Shifter classes at the upcoming Santa Maria event will each earn a full race ticket to the ROK the RIO race in Las Vegas, Nevada which includes race entry, race fuel, pit passes and race tires.

The Formula Karting Championship has been averaging twenty shifter drivers per race this year, so look out for some really strong competition in Santa Maria. ROK shifter drivers Zach Pettinicchi, Callum Smith, Keawn Tandon, Cole Shade, Dean Heldt, Kalvin Chen, Matias Podboj, Nick George, Robert Marks, Darrell Tunnell, Travis Irving, Adrian Yong, Ron Eubanks, Gianfranco Casadei and others are all in contention to grab a ticket to ROK the RIO. Additionally, the winner of the TAG 100cc Senior class will win a race entry to ROK the RIO and one set of practice tires.

If the winning driver takes victory in a VLR VORTEX 100CC engine, FKC will also award $300 cash to that driver to spend in Las Vegas. Look out for FKC regulars such as Henry Falls Hand (Team MMK), Alex Siragusa (Formula Works), Robbie Dubato (TeamPKS), Daniel Eaton, Kyle Hayner, Kenneth Byers, Gary Hall (HRT Racing), Antonio Aranda (Team Mexico), Sophia Storey, David Vasquez, Alieja White, Emmanuel Menendez and Caesar Menendez to show up in Santa Maria.

Other popular classes presented by Le Cont Tires are Open Shifters Senior, Ironman (over 45) Open Shifters, TAG 100cc Master, TAG 100cc Junior, TAG 100cc Ironman (over 45) and KPV 100cc. Winners in these classes will be awarded prizes such as Fastech Karting gift coupons and FKC ROK Dollars in excess of $1000.

Open practice will be held on Friday, and Saturday will follow the usual FKC format of two sessions of warm-ups, qualifying, two pre-finals and a main event. For those of you planning to camp out, complimentary overnight camping will be available.
