Traveling from their home base in Orlando, Florida across the country to the Utah Motorsports Campus in Tooele, Utah, Speed Concepts Racing will enter six Tony Kart drivers in the second round of the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour. Dubbed the SKUSA SpringNationals, Speed Concepts Racing branded drivers will compete in both the Mini Swift and X30 Junior classes as they work towards their goal of race wins and podium results.

“We only had a few drivers take part in the WinterNats in California, but the event in Utah fits in our calendar a lot better,” explained Mike Speed, Owner of Speed Concepts Racing. “We came to Utah last week to allow our drivers a few days on track and get up to speed. The Utah Motorsports Campus is a fast and flowing track so it was good to let them learn, and then take a few days off before it gets serious this weekend.”

Ayden Ingratta will be the lone Speed Concepts Racing entrant in Mini Swift. After a solid winter karting program that saw a consistent rise in results, the young Canadian is hoping that he can continue his upward trend in Utah.

Five Speed Concepts Racing drivers will enter the X30 Junior category, three of them as Junior rookies. Kyffin Simpson and Luke Lange, veterans of the Junior category, will look to lead the way in Utah. Lange, a SKUSA Winter Series race winner and Simpson, a multi-time podium winner across several karting engine disciplines, have the speed and experience to challenge for the top step of the podium.

Noah Baker, Paul Bocuse and Jace Park will join Simpson and Lange in the X30 Junior class as the trio of rookies leveled up to the Junior ranks for 2019. Front runners in the Mini Swift category, the three talented competitors have shown great pace and results in the Junior ranks, despite only a few events with the bigger Tony Kart chassis and higher horsepower engines.

Speed added, “Despite missing two junior drivers for an event over in Europe, I think we have six guys that can challenge for the race win and or podium results this coming weekend.”

Speed Concepts Racing also sends good luck wishes to team drivers Luca Mars and Justin Arseneau in Germany. Both drivers are representing their countries in the 2019 FIA Karting Academy with their first event in Wackersdorf May 2 to May 5.

The Speed Concepts Racing drivers will hit Utah Motorsports Campus for the the Superkarts! USA SpringNationals on Thursday for unofficial practice. Official practice takes place on Friday with two days of wheel-to-wheel action on Saturday and Sunday.
