Rotax Stars & Stripes Open: Micro / Mini Clarification

Mini/Micro MAX to be run together but scored separately, and a clarification on the prize breakdown for the category.

With ample interest already flowing into the Stars & Stripes Open event the Micro and Mini Max categories will heat up to an all-time high with awarding multiple tickets to the coveting 2019 Rotax Grand Finals.  Since 2018, the ‘Ticket' events in the United States have been run with a mixed group of Micro and Mini drivers whereby all the competitors utilize the Mini Max regulations and configuration.  The concept has worked brilliantly and provided some amazing racing over the years showing that the younger drivers can indeed compete for the overall win as well as show a high-level of sportsmanship.

“Although not our long-term goal, the mixed category has yielded some amazing racing by both Micro and Mini drivers and the sportsmanship has been undeniable.  All drivers are utilizing the same exact engine and technical rule set; thus, the only difference is the scoring at the end, which is directed by the age group.  With the fun and technical track at Pitt Race Complex this one will be one for the history books!” — Management

The event will also have a ‘capped' field size in all categories and with extremely high interest in the Micro/Mini categories participants are encouraged to get their entries in ASAP, after all its TICKET TIME! Here are a few high-level details regarding the event and how the entire process works directly for the Micro / Mini Max categories:

How Many Grand Finals Tickets are Available?
-1st and 2nd in Micro Max receive a Grand Finals Ticket
-1st and 2nd in Mini Max receive a Grand Finals Ticket
