With a successful round one in the books for the 2015 Cold Stone Florida Winter Tour Powered by MAXSpeed Entertainment, ROK Cup USA drivers would head to the Orlando Kart Center in central Florida this past weekend. While cooler weather greeted drivers at the beginning of the weekend, by the end of the event, that famous Florida sunshine was again beating down. Over 150 competitors took to the track for races three and four of the ROK Cup USA program presented by MG Tires, and again great racing, famous names and a welcoming atmosphere made for another successful event.
“We can’t thank all the competitors who have chosen to race the Cold Stone Florida Winter Tour enough,” expressed MAXSpeed Entertainment’s Garett Potter. “We work hard to put on the best events around, but not as hard as our racers and teams do, and we can always count on them to deliver in terms of excitement and great racing action. The point battles have now taken shape, and everyone can’t wait to see what the final round has in store.”
Five drivers left the Orlando Kart Center as double victors on the weekend, including Nicholas d’Orlando in Mini ROK, Felipe Bartz in AM Engines Micro ROK, Richard Heistand in ROK Shifter Masters, Eduardo Dieter in ROK Masters and Kyle Kirkwood in CKT Racing Engines ROK Senior. Gulherme Peixoto earned the ROK Junior win on Saturday, with David Malukas topping the blocks in the category on Sunday. A popular face in the FWT paddock scored the ROK Shifter Senior win on Saturday, as Former Formula One driver Rubens Barrichello scored the feature win after placing second both days in Homestead. AJ Myers edged out Barrichello in Sunday’s final to take the victory.

We are back on track this weekend for the Rotax MAX Challenge program, but we look forward to seeing all the ROK drivers in Ocala!”
