The Mercedes F1 driver has run a test, together with the new CRG driver Flavio Camponeschi, on the CRG KZ Road Rebel chassis powered by Maxter.
Nico Rosberg has been back to karting thanks to the great relationship he has with Dino Chiesa, CRG's new team principal that has been Nico's team manager at the turn of the Millennium, when the current Mercedes Formula 1 driver was competing in karting for CRG with team MBM (Mercedes Benz McLaren), alongside his team mate and still strong rival Lewis Hamilton.
Nico Rosberg loves training with karting during Formula 1 breaks and he has often done so in the past few years. This time around, the occasion has been a test with CRG at the Adria Karting Raceway together with the new CRG driver, the KF1 World Champion and two times European Champion of KZ and KF, Flavio Camponeschi. Both drivers spent nearly three hours behind the wheel of the CRG Road Rebel chassis powered by the latest evolution of the Maxter engine, running quite busy but also funny sessions in Adria.
Nico Rosberg took a break from his commitments while going back to a past that the German-Finnish driver has never forgotten. Nico Rosberg has always been among the main protagonists of karting competing with CRG in the Italian Championship and in North America from 1998 to 2001. He secured the second place in the European Championship of Formula A in 2000, curiously ending behind Lewis Hamilton and ahead of Marco Ardigò and Robert Kubica.
