This first start of OK-Junior Category was ended by a red flag after a race incidence in the 3rd corner of the track, this left the drivers with another opportunity for a better start. Of course the drivers involved are ok.
Gabriele Mini worked his way throw during the weekend and he got the most of the Final, but that was not enough to get the European Title from Paul Aron side finishing just at 3 points behind. Mini become the new Vice European Champion of OK-Junior Category with Parolin Racing Kart.
The heat was a key factor once again.

Good end for Paul Aron who showed a great drive along the Season and with two wins in Sarno and Ampfing plus a good number of points scored this weekend he claimed the European Title at the end of Sunday in Essay.
Gabriele Mini (1st), Victor Bernier (2nd) and Gabriel Borteleto (3rd) was the OK-Junior Podium in Essay. 3rd place in the Final put Borteleto 3rd overall in the European Junior Championship as well.
Dominant weekend for the new KR Motorsport member, Dexter Patterson. Pole Position after Qualifying Practice, Winner of all 5 Qualifying Heats so Pole Position in the Final as well and Winner of the Final by more than 6 seconds. HE TOOK IT ALL! For sure he will have all eyes on for the World Championship race.
A weekend to forget for Pedro Hiltbrand. He came in Essay as second favorite for the European Title but the situation was not on his favor at all during the weekend. P35 after Qualifying Practice slowly let Pedro without many chances for the main fight. He managed P34 after Qualifying Heats, which is the last place to be on the Final grid, but his mission looked impossible. He ended this European Championship in 3rd position overall behind Hannes Janker and Harry Thompson.
One think we don't have to forget it that the World Championship this year will held in Kristianstad(SWE), the place which got Perdo a win and the European Title in 2016, so lets see what's next!

HANNES JANKER, 2018 - CIK FIA EUROPEAN CHAMPION with TB MOTORSPORT
Looking back on the Championship he started with a great weekend in the First Round in Sarno, but his Final ended with a crash, the two next Rounds in PFi and Ampfing he scored 69 of 70 points possible that giving him a big chance to the title and so it was. Despite that the season ended with a crash in the Lap 1 of the Final in Essay he was crowned as the new European Champion.
By far this was Janker's best year of Karting and he will be one of the drivers to look at in Sweden for the World Championship battle.
2nd place in Essay has brought the title of Vice European Champion to Harry Thompson and Ricky Flynn Motorsport.
The last Round of CIK-FIA European Championship seen on Podium in OK Category, Dexter Patterson (1st), Harry Thompson (2nd) and Nicklas Nielsen (3rd). If from Dexter side the things are clear and the level of happiness and satisfaction could not be higher, Harry and Nicklas both said that they were pleased with the results obtained here in France.
Every beginning has an end. That was all in this 2018 CIK FIA European Championship.
