United States Pro Kart Series announces 2019 competition schedule and classes

New season will replicate 2018 with three-weekend schedule and all-IAME class structure.

On the heels of completing one of its most successful seasons ever, the United States Pro Kart Series presented by MG Tires is pleased to announce plans for the 2019 Season. The 2018 season featured three race weekends at three premier United States venues. This format was met with overwhelming enthusiasm. Therefore, 2019 will be based on the same three weekend program. While the venues are not finalized, the dates are listed below with the release of the tracks as soon as all the contracts are signed.

2019 United States Pro Kart Series dates

Rounds 1 & 2: April 5-7, 2019
Rounds 3 & 4: June 14-16, 2019
Rounds 5 & 6: July 26-28, 2019

The class lineup for 2019 will be the same as 2018. The all IAME class structure was well attended and is positioned for future growth.

In 2018, the USPKS and its sponsors distributed approximately $100,000 worth of prizes and awards. These prizes included four trips/tickets to the IAME International Final in Le Mans, France; seven IAME engine packages, countless sets of MG tires, IAME engine parts packages, and a complete 2019 USPKS Winner's Circle package and Championship Rings for each class. In addition to these major awards, there were many smaller prizes all season long, which included a dozen gas grills, thousands of dollars worth of Pelican coolers, and much more. With the continued support and generosity of the USPKS sponsors, they expect the 2019 Prize Package to be similar.

Although the 2018 United States racing season is still winding down, series officials are already receiving inquiries from new teams, groups, and individuals who want to include the United States Pro Kart Series in their 2019 race program. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for next season. Interested parties should Series Owner Mark Coats at (217) 652-6275 or via email at [email protected].
