F-Series partners with West Coast Formula Karting Championship

This press release marks our first official introduction in what we call the Formula Karting Championship and we are beyond excited to introduce and promote this all new championship. It is our pleasure to announce Le Cont Tires and The F-Series an already well established karting program as our partners to create this exciting California karting series. This is truly a collaborative effort to give karters a positive, friendly and yet competitive racing experience. We have been greeted by an overwhelming response while in the planning stages and look forward to tremendous growth over the next few seasons. 

The F-Series has become a popular karting series in the east coast over the past eight season with their Gearup Challenge and State Championship programs, giving racers serious competition with some very impressive kart counts. It has been invaluable as F-Series owner Marco Oldhafer has been working diligently with us and Le Cont Tires to bring an enjoyable package to racers in California. As we believe karting needs these type of partnerships our Formula Karting team is confident with such a positive joint effort the possibilities are endless!   

Steve Buckner a well recognized personalty in the karting community has made it his priority not just to be part owner of the Formula Karting Championship series but also act as the chief race director. As many racers are familiar with the quality and professionalism Steve brings to an event we are confident that the parity, fairness and safety will be unrivaled. It is really fantastic to know that everyone involved is driven to promote healthy competition while retaining respect and sportsmanship as the main objective. Also realizing that this community must work together as a unit to thrive one of our main focuses will be to create an environment were shops and sponsors can grow their business. 

It is our pleasure to inform everyone Formula Karting Championship will host round one off the 2018 season at Apex Kart Track in California on March 3rd and the first F-Series Gearup Challenge will be held on April 6th & 7th at Carolina Motorsports Park in SC. We are ecstatic to have made so many strides in a fairly short period of time. Creating an environment were racers and series work together to bring our community events that will be financially accessible while offering great competition.
