Frankie Mossman picks Nash Motorsportz for his 2020 home
China Karting Champion returns to Nash Motorsportz.
After two seasons away, Chinese Karting Champion and perennial frontrunner Frankie Mossman is set to return to Nash Motorsportz in 2020. Returning to the team that aided him in countless race wins and podium results in the cadet karting ranks, Mossman is looking to regain that success, this time in the stout junior fields of competition.
"After experiencing the OTK brand in China I felt this is the chassis that best suits my driving style," expressed Mossman. "Although everyone at J3 competition has given me tremendous support and the Formula Works team has treated me as family and helped me develop so much, this is the best move for me to continue my upward progression. I can't thank them both J3 and Formula Works enough for what they have helped me accomplish. This decision was one of the toughest we have ever had to make as a family, but I am super excited about 2020 and rejoining Nash Motorsportz."
"We welcome Frankie and his family back to our program," added Seth Nash. "We believe that he has the talent that it takes to run at the front of the field and that will only be assisted by the switch back to the OTK branded FA Kart and the Precision Racing Works engine program."
Mossman continued, "The relationship between my father and Seth Nash goes back to childhood, and I hope to make him proud of me as a driver in 2020. We will be racing all LAKC Championship event weekends, the California ProKart Challenge and Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour events in 2020. Additionally, I will be racing in select events in Asia and Europe as well as the IAME World Finals."
2020 will see Frankie enter his final year in junior ranks as he looks to parlay his karting program into open wheel racing by extensively testing a Ligier F4 machine for a transition from karts to cars in the future. Filling his 2020 calendar, Mossman will also take part in the Lucas Oil Shootout to hopefully secure a scholarship of over $75,000 to race in their profound development program and continue his progression onwards to the Road to Indy.
Mossman added, "A huge thank you to Chris Wehrhiem for the assistance in helping bridge the gap from karts to cars and allow a transition to formula racing in 2021. I have a lot to learn but am anxious and ready to get started!"
2020 will also see Frankie benefit from famed driver coach Eric Jenson. Having helped coach and advance the young careers of several young drivers to help reach racing pinnacles of motorsports, Jensen's client list includes the likes of several professional motorsports drivers including current Formula One competitor Lance Stroll.
