Recently completing a successful test weekend at the Utah Motorsports Campus in Tooele, Utah, Supertune and their seven driver strong Tony Kart team is now fully focused on this coming weekend. Taking on the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SpringNationals, the Indianapolis based OTK program will enter a total of seven drivers across the Micro Swift, Mini Swift and X30 Junior classes.

"This is our first real weekend of competition since the close of our winter program," explained Ben Cruttenden. "We are focused on continuing the success and momentum from the first three months of the year, as well as our test this past weekend. We have the drivers and the equipment to challenge for race wins and podiums in all classes entered and will push forward to achieve our goals."

Much of Supertune's success in 2019 has come from the Mini division. Kai Sorensen has led the team with results claiming a pair of championships already in 2019. Always at the pointy end of the field, Sorensen has scored numerous race wins and when he hasn't won, he has been on the podium a large percentage of the time. Joining Sorensen this weekend in Utah will be 2019 race winners Anderson Leonard and Enzo Deligny. Both drivers have made appearances at the top of the podium in 2019 and the trio will be looking for a podium sweep in Utah.

Three X30 Junior drivers will do battle in the Beehive State as European driver Freddy Slater will join Americans and Supertune newcomers John Burke and Matt Christensen. Burke, in one event weekend with the team, found his way to the top of the podium while Christensen joined his teammate on the podium in his first ever day aboard a Tony Kart chassis.

Freddy Slater, on the strength impressive results at the SKUSA WinterNats, enters Utah sitting fourth in the X30 Junior championship chase and will look to close the gap to the leader this weekend. Younger brother Alfie Slater will travel to America for the first time and be the sole Supertune entrant in the IAME Micro Swift division.

On track action will begin on Thursday and progress through the weekend with official wheel-to-wheel races taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned to the Supertune social media pages for photos, news, results and information from the event.
