Tracks confirmed for ROK The Rockies regional series

Announced in the last quarter of 2017, the new ROK the Rockies series is pleased to announce today track locations for their six-race 2018 program. Beginning in May at the Grand Junction Motor Speedway, the series will also travel to Pikes Peak International Raceway and SBR Motorsports Park in their inaugural campaign.

Located in Grand Junction, Colorado, the fast and fun Grand Junction Motor Speedway will host the season opener May 5-6, as well as Race #4 August 18-19. Known as one of the best karting layouts in the country, Stacey Cook, owner of the facility, has built a true gem with plenty of passing opportunities.
A new venue for many in the karting scene, the Pikes Peak facility located at the Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain, Colorado will host Race #2 June 2-3 and the series finale October 13-14. Excited about the opportunity to host high-caliber regional races, track rep Jared Thompson and his staff are looking forward to hosting ROKKERS from around the region and beyond.
Southern Colorado's premier karting facility, SBR Motorsports Park, will see ROK the Rockies drivers on track for Race #3 July 7-8 and Race #5 September 15-16. Located 15 minutes east of Colorado Springs in Calhan, the track features multi-configurations up to ½-mile. A welcoming venue for ROKKERS, SBK offers unique terrain and twists and turns sure to provide excitement for the Rockies series.

Online registration for the first event, May 5-6 at Grand Junction Motor Speedway, will open April 1st, and will close Monday before each race weekend.
The series will offer all seven ROK classes, utilizing Vortex Engines and Bridgestone tires following the standard ROK Cup USA rule set. Official Vortex ROK and Bridgestone Tire suppliers for the Rocky Mountain Region are Performance Kartsport and Grand Junction Motor Speedway, whom both will be offering sales and service of these products for series competitors.
