2020 Rotax Racing Stars & Stripes program announced

With several unique changes for 2020 the program will reach into a new era focusing the Rotax platform intently on local and regional competition.

After its first full kick-off year of Rotax Racing in 2019, J3 Competition is pleased to announce its 2020 program. Alongside BRP-Rotax, J3 will continue with its Stars & Stripes branding continuing to embrace the essence of the American spirit within its Rotax Grand Final ticket events. With several unique changes for 2020 the program will reach into a new era focusing the Rotax platform intently on local and regional competition. With the highly-reliable and most cost-effective water-cooled engine platform on the market, J3 Competition is excited for its second year of continued growth as it moves the program from a lottery engine platform to a pure ownership-based model.

The chase for the first available tickets to the 2020 Rotax Grand Finals will be available through a new three race championship based in the northeastern region. This new series will take over the badge of ‘Stars & Stripes Trophy'. This three-race championship will award the points champion in Max Sr. and Max Masters a deserved ‘ticket' to the 2020 Rotax Grand Finals alongside other remarkable prizes to each category totaling over $20,000 in value. All three events will be two-day formats operating by the partnering facilities with promotions and operational support from J3 Competition to ensure a high-level experience for competitors. The series kicks off in May and will finish in June with ample time for participants to prepare and ready themselves for the remainder of the summer racing season; the series dates and venues follow.

The three facilities are dedicated to the industry and growing participation continually through real initiatives, which is something that fits extremely well with the Rotax and J3 platforms!” — J3 Management

Following up shortly after the Stars & Stripes Trophy series will be the return of one of America's most coveted events — The Rotax Grand Nationals! Participation will be open to any nationality, however, ticket allocation is only granted to American drivers. Pitt Race Complex | July 3-5

For the second year in a row Pitt International Race Complex will play host to the last domestic chance for American drivers to earn the coveted Grand Finals ticket. Alongside all the positives, the Pitt facility is a few hours' drive to Indiana where a large portion of competitors will spend their July-August time, thus providing sensible logistics for the entire competitor base.” — J3 Management
