Alex Irlando returns to Lonato for the CIK-FIA KZ European Championship

Italian Alex Irlando gets ready for the second and last round of the CIK-FIA KZ European Championship that will be held at South Garda Karting in Lonato, Italy.   

Apulian Alex Irlando and Sodikart Racing Team will be back at South Garda Karting this weekend for the last round of the CIK-FIA KZ European Championship. Taking on a stout field of 29 drivers in the KZ class, the 17-year old pilot Alex Irlando is prepared to take the team to the top in Lonato.

After the 6th place in Salbris, Alex is now 7th in championship with the same amount of points, 11 to be exact, of his teammate Anthony Abbasse. Jeremy Iglesias, the leader of the championship, has a 20-point gap.  

“In Salbris my race wasn't easy at all, but in the end I managed to finish 6th. The race in Lonato will be one on its own, so I'll push as hard as I can because I have nothing to lose! At the WSK Open Cup I was pretty fast, but I had a few problems that slowed me down. Anyway I'm ready and excited for the fight, I really want to make me an early present for my 18th birthday!”
