IPK North America and Leading Edge Motorsports set for Rok the Rio
New and used equipment available in Las Vegas.
A stout five driver lineup from IPK North America and Leading Edge Motorsports is set to invade Las Vegas for the first annual ROK Cup Promotions ROK the RIO event this weekend. Taking place at the RIO All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, the California based program will enter drivers from Costa Rica and the United States as they set their sights solely on the top step of the podium.
Competing in the Vortex ROK Shifter category will be newly announced team driver and multi-time North American champion Daniel Formal. As one of the strongest shifter drivers in the country, Formal can be considered one of the favorites when karts hit the track on Wednesday, October 31st for official practice.
"We have worked extremely hard to put together a program that not only displays the quality of both the Praga and Formula K chassis lines, but also develops our drivers," explained Greg Bell. "We are truly a diverse program with competitors in Micro and Mini ROK, Senior ROK and ROK Shifter and our products have been proven to win in every division."
Casey Moyer will be the lone Leading Edge Motorsports driver in the Vortex Micro ROK division while Stephan Eisert will fly the flag in Mini ROK. Racing under the Tanda Racing flagship, a pair of Oklahoma drivers in Paige Evans and Cooper Heffley will work through an IPK North America dealer, but have a home under the Leading Edge Motorsports tent in Las Vegas.
"Our dealer network through Leading Edge Motorsports and IPK North America have the opportunity to compete with a factory effort on the same equipment, product and services that we have as a team," continued Bell. "To provide tent space for Tanda Racing, we open their drivers to the professionalism, coaching and advice from our national level program. This will give them a shot to do their best, but also take the knowledge home to their regional level programs."
Before heading to Las Vegas, IPK North America and Leading Edge Motorsports are preselling chassis that will be used at the event. All Formula K and Praga chassis will be available for purchase and can be picked up in Las Vegas or shipped at purchaser's expense. Karts will be sold as rolling chassis and will be guaranteed straight.
Looking forward into the 2019 racing season, Leading Edge Motorsports and IPK North America are looking to compete at the Florida Winter Tour and Challenge of the Americas as well as other winter karting programs. Any interested parties are asked to contact Greg Bell.
