ROK The Rockies registration opens April 11 for 2019 season

Class structure announced ahead of season opener.

With the ROK Cup USA ROK The Rockies program just on the horizon, series officials are pleased to announce registration for the opening round will open Thursday, April 11. Also confirming the class structure for the 2019 edition of the program, ROK the Rockies will offer a wide array of categories from Kid Kart to Shifter Masters ROK as well as 100cc classes that are open to both the ROK VLR and IAME KA100 engine packages.

With the standard ROK divisions continuing in the series including Micro ROK, Mini ROK, ROK Junior, ROK Senior, ROK Masters, ROK Shifter and ROK Shifter Masters, the growing regional series will also offer Kid Kart, as well as Junior, Senior and Masters 100cc divisions.

“The ROK the Rockies region is continuing to evolve and we have listened to our customers and teams on their ideas as well as their concerns,” explained ROK Cup USA Director of Operations Garett Potter. “With the growing 100cc market and the split between two engine platforms, series officials have decided to add both to ensure increased entries and the most competitive classes in the area.”

Potter added, “We have run the dual engine platform on a few occasions now with great success and expect nothing less in the Rocky Mountain Region.”

The 2019 ROK the Rockies will kick off their six race series off on the 28th of April and have one race a month for the six months. Race two through six will be held on May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18 and September 22. All series events will take place at SBR Motorsports Park in Calhan, Colorado and championship points will be based on drivers' best five series results.

ROK the Rockies will also be awarding ROK the RIO entries to all series champions. This award will include entry, race tires, fuel and oil.
