ANSA Motorsports karting division makes Florida Winter Tour debut
New Charles Leclerc Kart dealer flexes muscles on temporary circuit.
The ANSA Motorsports Karting Team made their ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour debut this past weekend competing on the barrier lined temporary circuit on the grounds of the Isle Casino in Pompano Beach, Florida. Representing the Charles Leclerc Kart brand, the team claimed three top-ten results competing against a talented field of drivers.
ANSA Motorsports Karting lead driver and team coach, Daniel Formal, took a solid fourth place finish in the ROK Senior Shifter category, even after a shift lever and gearbox issue pushed him to the tail end of the top-ten. Formal overcame his issues and drove like a seasoned veteran driving back to a solid fourth place finish. In Master Shifter, Madsen pushed hard for a sixth place finish, while Juan Pablo Ramirez finished in eighth place.
"It was a good weekend for us as a team, and we will work even harder in the next few weeks to ensure that we achieve our best," explained ROK the RIO Shifter Champion Daniel Formal. "To come out and accomplish what we did is fantastic as the competition in the ROK program is some of the toughest in the country. Our aim is to win and always be at the front of the field.
Matteo Llarena represented the ANSA Motorsports squad in the talent filled ROK Junior class. Llarena showed moments of brilliance as he drove forward to a top-15 position in the earlier heats, and was the biggest mover of the race, before contact ruined any chances of solidifying a good result in the final.
Team Owner Patrick-Otto Madsen said, "We were fighting all weekend to improve our set up, and we found more speed as the weekend developed with the technical input of Formal, which trickled down to all the drivers. We are somewhat satisfied with our result, but we are striving for more."
Formal added, "The Charles Leclerc Kart is one of the best and most stable chassis that I have ever driven. We were able to extract so much speed with minor changes. I am excited to see what the future holds for this program as we look to compete against some of the best teams in all of karting."
