Nine VemmeKart drivers head to Phoenix for Challenge of the Americas opening round
Competitors scattered amongst several different classes for 2018 series opener.
After a successful start to their East Coast campaign, VemmeKart USA is en route to the Formula K Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona. Set to take on the rest of the competition at the opening round of the Challenge of the Americas, nine VemmeKart pilots will attempt to fight for race wins and podium results throughout several different Vortex ROK powered classes.
"We are really pushing hard to start the season off right," expressed VemmeKart USA's Andy Gernand. "We had some solid results in Daytona at the end of December and will look to carry that momentum into Arizona. We are happy to join manufacturer Vince Mandarino as well as VemmeKart dealer Performance Kart Supplies on site and provide product support for our dealers and drivers alike."
Colin Neal, fresh off a pair of World Karting Association Manufacturers Cup victories in Daytona, will enter the ROK Senior class along with Colby Dubato and Matt England while Kurtis Breedings and Erick Jackson will compete in the ROK Masters category. Kyle Cassells will be the lone VemmeKart branded driver in the ROK Junior class while Ethan Nascimento, Ryan Cassells and Chase Gardner, who is the 2017 Texas Pro Kart Challenge Mini Swift champion, will enter the always competitive Vortex Mini ROK division. Long-time motorsports driver Jordan Redlin will also be on site to provide driver coaching services for Ryan and Kyle Cassells.
As VemmeKart USA continues to build their dealer network and promote product throughout North America, company officials will be trackside to discuss potential dealership opportunities. Furthermore, VemmeKart USA will have several new and used chassis available for purchase during and after the event weekend.
Gernand continued, "We have several big announcements coming within the next month that will really elevate the VemmeKart brand to the next level. Our on track results speak for themselves and we are in the process of proving that our support program is going to be one of the best in the industry."
Unofficial on track competition will commence this coming Thursday with official practice taking place Friday. Competitors will begin wheel-to-wheel action on Saturday after the morning qualifying sessions with the final checkered flag falling on Sunday afternoon.
