Attacking the 2019 Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals with fourteen drivers, Crosslink Competition and Team Crosslink left Las Vegas with three top-ten results and managed to put seven drivers in the top-twenty in North America's biggest karting event. Taking on the temporary street circuit adjacent to the RIO All-Suite Hotel and Casino, the Texas based outfit closed their 2019 season and will immediately shift their focus to 2020.

Leading the way on the results sheet at the end of the weekend was KA100 Senior driver Alejandro Jaramillo. After starting Super Sunday's main event from the 18th position, Jaramillo drove his Exprit kart into the top-ten to finish sixth and narrowly missed a top-five podium result by a scant .02. Happy with the drive forward, Jaramillo was disappointed not to take home some hardware but showed that he and his Team Crosslink program are a threat on the biggest of karting stages.

X30 Senior driver Joshua Car gained fourteen positions in the main event to drive to an impressive seventh place result. Rebounding from some unfortunate contact in one of the heat races, Car consistently closed the gap to the leaders throughout the race and gave his team a fighting shot at another SuperNationals victory.

Team Crosslink would put three inside the top-twenty of the 64 kart strong X30 Masters category. Gustavo Carreira led the way with a ninth place result, consistently showing top-ten pace and results through his three heat races. Derek Wang crossed the stripe in 13th while Armando Watson from Peru claimed a 19th place finish.

Ryan Shehan was one of the biggest movers in the X30 Junior class driving forward twenty-four positions in Sunday's main event. After starting 40th on the grid, Shehan took his Team Crosslink Exprit into the top-twenty and managed to secure a 16th place finish. Esteban Mason progressed nicely through the heat races and gave himself a fighting chance with a top-ten starting spot for Sunday's main event. Unfortunately, contact early relegated him down the running order as he clawed his way back to salvage a 19th place result.

"All in all, it was a good weekend of racing," explained Sean Owens. "This is one of, if not the most difficult karting event to win in the world as you need to have everything go perfect. While the speed was there for some of our drivers, lady luck wasn't on our side all the time but that is racing. Bring on 2020."

With a fleet of gently used OTK Exprit chassis available, any competitor looking for a great deal is asked to contact Team Crosslink.

With the SuperNats now over, Team Crosslink will immediately springboard into the 2020 campaign. Drivers looking to compete with the elite level karting program or to pick up gently used team equipment, are asked to contact Sean Owens via email to [email protected].
