Supertune USA is back and winning in 2018
First three events bring pole positions, fast laps and race wins for Supertune USA.
Taking some time away from engine building and preparation to focus on other karting commitments, Supertune USA is back for 2018. Kicking off their season at the World Karting Association Manufacturers Cup at the famed Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, it didn't take long for them to get back to the top.
With a potent Supertune USA prepared IAME Mini Swift package bolted next to the right arm of Mateo Rubio Luengo, the pair would claim the pole position as well as the main event victory to kick off the season.
"It was good to get back and get the first victory under our belt," explained Supertune USA's Ben Cruttenden. "I kept our comeback a little quiet to make sure I had everything in place to compete at North America's top karting series. Now, with a race win and other fast lap honors and pole positions to our name, we are ready to go to market."
Competing at both the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series and the ROK Cup Promotions Florida Winter Tour, Supertune USA was able to again show their speed with Luengo and newcomer Kai Sorensen. Luengo scored the pole position during Saturday's SKUSA competition while Sorensen secured the inside front row starting position for the Mini ROK division at the Florida Winter Tour.
Cruttenden continued, "It was good to be up front with two different engine platforms and show our speed. We will continue to offer engine rental and preparation services for drivers with any team and on any chassis model for all events in 2018."
