Supertune aims for the top at SuperKarts! USA Pro Tour restart this weekend
Baker, Burke, Rubio-Luengo and Luque head to NCMP.
With the start of the 2020 Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour being delayed due to COVID-19, Supertune is anxious and excited to get back on track this weekend at their home facility. Taking on the New Castle Motorsports Park facility for rounds one, two and three of the Pro Tour this August 6-9 weekend, Supertune will compete in rounds four, five and six the following weekend at the same Indiana location.
"It is not an ideal situation, but I commend the SKUSA staff for what they are doing to get the races in all while allowing the teams to stay in one location and make some money," explained Supertune's Ben Cruttenden. "We have competed and tested at New Castle on multiple occasions in 2020 and will be looking to put the knowledge gained to good use over the next two weeks."
Supertune will bring four drivers competing in seven classes to New Castle Motorsports Park as the Tony Kart branded team restarts the Pro Tour. Leading the way into the event will be a trio of drivers that will see action in both X30 Junior and KA100 Junior. Noah Baker, John Burke and Matteo Rubio-Luengo will pull double duty as they will be joined by Fernando Luque in the Mini Swift class.
"It is going to be a busy two weeks," added Cruttenden. "Eight days on track over the next twelve. Hoping for some good weather and solid results."
Supertune drivers will hit the track Thursday for official practice before three full race days on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Enjoying a couple days off, Supertune will hit the reset button and do the same thing the following week to complete the six round 2020 SKUSA Pro Tour. Stay tuned to the Supertune social media pages for news, photos, results and information from the event.
