After claiming a victory and two podiums at the New Castle Motorsports Park facility during the opening round of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS), Speed Concepts returns to the Indiana facility for the complete Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour. With an adjusted schedule due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, all six rounds of the 2020 championship will take place at the track that provides some of the best and closest racing in the country as the Redspeed by OTK drivers look towards the front of the field.

A trio of drivers in the X30 Junior class will fly the Speed Concepts Racing banner as Paul Bocuse, Jack Jeffers and Jace Park have entered their names into the stacked field of competitors. Bocuse is fresh off a USPKS podium result while both Park and Jeffers took turns at the front of the field at New Castle a few weeks ago.

“It was a treat to see all three of our junior drivers working together to pull away from the field,” explained Mike Speed. “Paul, Jack and Jace were working together, nose to tail, running one-two-three and turning lap times faster than others before rain came mid-race. Forced to run slick tires on a damp surface and adjust their driving lines, Paul ended up third as all three drivers were in the top-ten. We will be looking to use the knowledge gained to once again run at the front of the field.”

Luca Mars will return to Speed Concepts Racing for the back-to-back event weekends looking to take his racing prowess to the front of X30 Senior. As one of the top drivers in the junior ranks in 2019, Mars made the transition to senior look easy claiming several podium results and race wins to start the season. Utilizing the USPKS event to get back in a kart, Mars is primed and ready to attack again in X30 Senior. Joining Luca for rounds four, five and six of the Pro Tour will be Luke Lange as he returns from his foray into the TC America program to get back behind the wheel of a Speed Concepts Racing machine. Lange and Mars will also team up for the enduro portion of the weekend to get back into the karting groove.

Veteran drivers and USPKS race winner Scott Roberts ran strong at New Castle in 2019 but looks to better his results in 2020. Scoring the win a few short weeks ago, the X30 Masters driver will look to double down in SKUSA competition with six main events over two weeks to crown the Pro Tour champions.

With two event weekends, August 6-9 and August 13-16, stay tuned to the Speed Concepts Racing social media pages for news, information, results and photos from the event.
