Team Crosslink garners podium results in X30 Junior and X30 Masters at SKUSA Pro Tour

Showing pace in rounds one, two and three, Team Crosslink returned to New Castle Motorsports Park this past weekend to close out the final three rounds of the six-race series. With drivers competing in four different divisions, the Texas based squad managed to secure a quartet of podiums as they closed the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour on a high.

Leading the way in a triple podium performance was X30 Master competitor Miguel Mier. Mier, who missed the first three events last weekend, arrived in Indiana poised and ready for some podium results. Taking time to learn the track and get reacquainted with his Exprit chassis, Mier scored his first podium of the weekend in round four on Friday coming home second. Repeating that performance on Saturday to earn his second runner-up result of the weekend, Mier returned to the podium on Sunday with a third-place effort.

Fresh off a top-five result last weekend, X30 Junior competitor Alex Stanfield was back on track and looking for more on the Reverse National layout. Scoring a fifth-place result in round four, Stanfield showed his position at the front of the field in round five on Saturday before crossing the line in the second position. Battling for the win on Sunday and running in a podium position, disaster would strike for Stanfield as he failed to finish the day's main event and was classified in the 19th position.

AJ Jaramillo continued his presence of speed in the top-ten from the first event weekend in the SKUSA program into rounds four, five and six but was not rewarded with the results that he deserved. After a sixth-place finish in round three, Jaramillo started his KA100 Senior weekend 15th on Saturday before catapulting up the order with an eighth-place result on Saturday. Finishing 17th on Sunday, Jaramillo's finishing position was not a true representation of his speed.

If Ryan Shehan did not have bad luck, he would have had no luck at all this weekend at New Castle Motorsports Park. After running in the top-eight on Friday and being involved in an incident that ended his day, Shehan was caught up in a few more on track incidents that effected his finishing positions. Looking to put the weekend behind him, Shehan will shift his focus to his next event and get back to the podium where he deserves to be.

With a few weeks off, Team Crosslink will have another karts and cars double weekend. Competing at the United States Pro Kart Series Badger State Grand Prix at Road America with their karting efforts, FR Americas driver Josh Car and F4 United States Championship driver Jose Blanco will be at the Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Florida competing at the SCCA national event in preparation for their series events at the same facility a few weeks later.
